No email contact to offices that I could find. DId note - only one woman the board. Also curious : Other counties like Dawson, Pickins, Gilmer - do they have broad band?? I assume (always a bad idea) that board of directors are elcted by we the members>? ANd that there are meetings at which we can speak. Will be paying attention to this in the future. AmEMC is a legal monopoly that provides electricity to the unincorporated areas of Lumpkin County, and other counties. It is organized as a non-profit cooperative that is owned by its customers. AmEMC has refused to setup a business to bring broadband internet into the homes and small businesses of Lumpkin. EMC's in White, Habersham, Union and Townes counties are doing this. Mr. Gibson's compensation for runniing the coop in 2010 was $349,856. In 2011 it was $389,734 and in 2012 is rose to $410,130. Why is Mr Gibson getting such huge pay increases while he basically DENIES broadband internet to the residents and small businesses of Lumpkin County?
