Because Amicacola EMC will not allow it. AmEMC will not distribute broadband and AmEMC will not allow their owner-customers to deploy solar panels on their houses. It is as simple as that. And AmEMC is not a "big bad profit obsessed corporation. AmEMC is a nonprofit coop owned by its customers. It has a legal monopoly to supply electric power to a certain area.
