Unless I have this wrong, when Gov Deal was interviewed about the incident at Burt's farm, I remember him being quoted as saying he was there as a "guest." However, from the post of the announcement for the rally he was the "Ringmaster!"
My guess is charges will be dropped and everyone will hope it will all go away. And it will unless she sues and or outside parties become interested. As far as I can tell there is no stomach to pursue it by anyone in Dawson County, including Democrats.
If Nydia decides to sue for an illegal arrest then Johnny Burt and the GOP have hung themselves by their own petard. IMO only Deal or his GOP apparatus had the authority to address Ms. Tiddale's activities. If Wooten took his direction from Johnny Burt then it became illegal at that point. If he took direction from the GOP operatives that will require examination of her Constitutional right to film vs their efforts to secure law enforcement to force her to desist.
I think the Dawson GOP chair was obviously attempting to exclude the GOP from accountability with her cameo appearance.
The Political Vine offers a plausible version of what probably happened and provoke the Republicans to do what they did. It is a long and detailed read but worthwhile.
Link to the Deal created FB event page inviting the public to the Burt's Farm event where videoblogger Nydia Tisdale was arrested.. I have also saved a screen shot in case they take it down.
