So are you declaring Chelsey Park is not eligible for BSITFC funds?

Based on the information on the Chelsey Park website they will serve individuals with aquired brain injuries which is very different from traumatic brain injuries. The BSITFC serves only those with traumatic injuries. I attend monthly meetings where funds are awarded to individuals who apply. The majority of these individuals live in their homes not places like Chelsey Park. Funds are provided for durable medical equipment etc. Funds are awarded as a "payor of last resort." Again, I don't know where you got your information but you are incorrect on this.

georgia can not provide basic health care for many of its residents but in can grant benefits to special interests like chelsey park by constitutional amendment.

Cheryl Richey Harris. Yes the BSITF was voted into existence as a constitutional amendment. Stuff like this should not be in the constitution. I ask again, why do brain concussions deserve this special treatment? What about folks who loose their legs in auto accidents? Lets have a trust fund for them too. This is nothing more than a fund for certain folks who provide these services. A special medical facility is currently under construction in Dahlonega for this express purpose. Did Community Health Systems (Macon) get this item on the ballot for their benefit? Just askin.

Vote NO on all three Ballot Propositions.

There are two constitutional amendments and one recommendation for a constitutional amendment on the ballot.

All should be rejected as "special interest" legislation.

The Constitution should never be amended to restrict the Legislative power to tax (or spend). That is their job. They should not off-load their job to the People. The Legislature should do its job. This is also a "first step" toward doing away with the state income tax altogether and loading even more taxes onto the sales tax which is very regressive and hurts low income people the most. Just vote NO.

The Constitution should not be amended to "carve out" a special benefit for a those who provided healthcare for folks with brain concussions from auto accidents. That is too limited a benefit. What about other folks who get serioiuslly injured in car accidents but do not suffer a brain concussion? (It would appear that this constitutional amendment would help to fund the Chelsey Park medical facility now under construction in Dahlonega.) Just vote NO.

The Constitution should not be amended to "carve out" a special benefit for private investors who help construct college dormatories. They do not need any help to justify their investments. This proposed constitutional amendment would exempt privately constructed and managed college dormatories built on public land from property taxes. Just vote NO.
