Fred wrote: "I might add that the shipping container housing at Hiker Hostel brings tourists into this area who spend their money at the local restaurants/shops/etc and they pay lodging taxes for their stay (5% of lodging cost) to the county commissioners. These unique structures are bringing money into the county. They also pay property taxes on the containers as well. Since they are unique they draw tourists from all over the country, like our yurts, so they are bringing tourists who would not normally come to this area but want to stay in the container cabins. I would encourage their usage. Everyone wins- the county, the local businesses, the environment, the guests.
