It does seem inevitable in nations that employ violence within national policy as an appropriate option to achieve its aims. In some degree it has accompanied political revolutions. However it in itself rarely if ever brings solutions. Let's just scare the hell out of them with our numbers and widespread geography. IMO we must take seriously what I have observed of the increased militarization and nationalization of domestic law enforcement. I really fear it now is in danger of full transformation in its role from citizen protection to the citizens perceived as enemies to be controlled . Unfortunately, we do not live in a universal utopia where people have the basic human rights they deserve simply for existing, and until we get there, the legitimate frustration, sorrow and pain of the marginalized voices will boil over, spilling out into our streets. As "normal" citizens watchthe events of Ferguson unfurl on their television screens and Twitter feeds, there is a lot of head shaking, finger pointing, and privileged explanation going on. We wish to seclude the incident and the people involved.
