Medicare Part D was never paid for in prior years and contributed to the deficit. When medications may average $500/mo., a premium of $27 doesn't seem like much to pay.

My D was up 30% in premiums and with increased copays etc. Haven't checked this year yet. It will likely be the same as UHC

This is more of the redistribution of funds from the elderly to the younger inherent in the ACA.
